“The Electromagnetic Spectrum” - Connections Academy
Like most of our other lesson content, this was scripted to be a 3-5 minute animation explaining the electromagnetic spectrum. The script writer was having trouble filling in all that time with content, so I suggested that we shorten it and stick only to the important details. I also suggested that we could create an interactive infographic that students could click through and explore on their own, prompting the different animations to play. Though this idea was well received by my manager and director, we simply didn’t have the programming resources for a project like that. Instead this idea developed into a template for shorter, more direct and to-the-point animations. This showed the writers that we didn’t need unnecessary fluff to get information across to the students.
