“Earth’s Sun and Other Stars” - Connections Academy

Though I use 3D layers in most of my After Effects animations, this is the first time I used a 3 dimensional object. The spaceship was created from extruded 3D shapes and a 2D net folded in 3D space. I had to create the ship this way because I didn’t have any 3D modeling experience at the time. I also really like how the hyperspace and light speed jump effects turned out.
